The material, examined

What the name tells you

Aventurescence comes from flat reflective inclusions. Their size affects the appearance. Do not use a glittery surface as a certificate of natural color, country or mine.

A useful question at the counter

What supports the origin and treatment claims? A documented mine source is stronger than a color resemblance.

A note for your collection

Protect cleavage-prone stones from impacts. Keep source and treatment documents with a valuable piece.

Sources & further reading

References are labeled by role. A source documenting a belief is not evidence of a medical or mineralogical effect. Reflection prompts are C&C editorial suggestions.
