01 · The material

Natural History

Morganite is associated with pegmatites, where large crystals can develop.

02 · Observe

Under the Loupe

Pink alone cannot separate morganite from quartz, kunzite, glass or other gems. Keep identity and color treatment as separate questions.

03 · Ownership

Collect & Care

Protect against knocks and extreme heat. Fractured specimens need gentler care than the hardness number suggests.

04 · The human story

History, Lore & Tradition

Documented history

A variety name connects this pink material to aquamarine and emerald without making their individual histories interchangeable.

Sources & further reading

References are labeled by role. A source documenting a belief is not evidence of a medical or mineralogical effect. Reflection prompts are C&C editorial suggestions.
