The material, examined

What the name tells you

The matrix, crystal habit and measured properties can help distinguish an individual crystal from a dark inclusion. A commercial host-plus-inclusion label may have been inherited from a resemblance rather than analysis.

A useful question at the counter

What evidence identifies the individual green mineral? Keep untested inclusion names qualified.

A note for your collection

Protect slender crystals and cleavable surfaces. Avoid abrasive or aggressive cleaning.

Sources & further reading

References are labeled by role. A source documenting a belief is not evidence of a medical or mineralogical effect. Reflection prompts are C&C editorial suggestions.
